Business Associate Agreement (BAA)

We are committed to HIPAA compliance and protecting your patients' PHI. We execute a BAA with all covered entities.

What is a BAA?

A Business Associate Agreement (BAA) is a legal contract between a healthcare provider (Covered Entity) and a contractor (Business Associate) that outlines each party's responsibilities in handling Protected Health Information (PHI) in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.

Our Commitment

Ara Health, Inc. acts as a Business Associate for our healthcare clients. We take this responsibility seriously and have implemented robust technical, physical, and administrative safeguards to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of your data.

  • We will not use or disclose PHI other than as permitted or required by the BAA or as required by law.
  • We use appropriate safeguards to prevent use or disclosure of PHI other than as provided for by the BAA.
  • We will report to you any use or disclosure of PHI not provided for by the BAA of which we become aware, including breaches of unsecured PHI.

How to Request a BAA

A BAA is included as part of our Enterprise and Pro plans. If you are on a self-serve plan and need a BAA, you can request one through your account settings or by contacting our support team.
